This is Kenneth visiting his writing cabin in Aberfeldy, the place where he hides away to work on poetry and prose alike. The cabin is called Fredheim - the Norwegian for the House of Peace. That's the whole intention, to find a place as far away as possible from intrusion of any kind, to allow the words to flow. There's no computer here, no mobile phone, no electronic disturbance whatsoever. The first book to be written here was Imagining Things, a collection of nature poems for children, and it took just four weeks to write. The cabin has made all the difference.

A SCHOOL DAY
Would you like to have an author in your school for the whole day? Kenneth is now arranging visits where he does just that. Each day is planned with the school so no two days will be quite the same. >

The Ice and other stories
This is a collection that has been six long years in the making. It comprises 14 stories, the vast majority of which have been broadcast on BBC Radio or published in literary magazines at home or abroad. Several are set in Highland Scotland, but the majority are not. Setting is not of fundamental importance; the protagonists and their stories are. >
